The Struggle with the Printing Press

So, great news to all you lovely readers that love the feel of a book in their hands, love the weight, the smell of fresh ink coming off the pages…

It took awhile, but I finally got it right. The printed version of my 2nd book came in the mail yesterday and it was PERFECT! Oh the exquisite joy of touching it, of seeing the words where they belong, the chapters where they belong and the high gloss finish reflecting a single tear of joy after the long struggle with the printer. It was nearly heaven to rip open the package and see that it is finally right.

For those of you who have been lucky enough to pick up an agent/ publisher right off the bat well here’s to you. (raises glass with a smile on my face and clinks your own ethereal one). For the rest of us, unless you are already very well versed in the many formats of the publishing world, it is a feat. I have gotten it now though, written it down and thank the Gods, it is done. If there is anyone out there experiencing the same issue I would be happy to give you the secret formula so that you too can feel the joy of experiencing this kind of frustration releasing bliss.

It is done, I am thrilled. And now I must clean the house even though I want to write because, well it’s Saturday. And that’s what working at real jobs during the week moms do on Saturday. We clean the house so that Sunday we can rest and write and spend time with family.

Oh, I forgot to mention. In honor of this great achievement I have decided to have a contest. The next 10 people to purchase the first book (in any form, ebook or print), will receive the 2nd in the series free! Please wait for my announcement on FB. Oh, and there is another treat coming too, but I dare not say what yet. Happy reading!!

I love everything medieval even though my stories are fantasy/ paranormal urban romances. I love reading, writing, family time, movies, cooking, playing, great wine and stimulating conversation…not necessarily in that order.
