Jennifer Sage

Some writers find their calling. Jennifer Sage was born into hers.

A Young Author Award winner at eight years old, she has spent a lifetime building worlds that don't exist — and making readers forget they ever did. She writes new languages, customs, and cultures into every story she tells, because to her, a world worth visiting is a world that breathes.

After publishing her debut novel in 2013, she spent the better part of a decade releasing ten more — earning awards, signing books across continents, and quietly amassing a readership so devoted that some of them carry her work permanently, inked into their skin.

Then she went quiet.

Now she's back.

Jennifer writes at the edge of what's real — stories set in parallel dimensions layered over our own world, in the nine realms of Norse mythology, in the breathing dark between what we see and what we dare imagine. Her characters will break your heart. Her worlds will not let you go. She makes no apologies for either.

When she isn't writing, she's somewhere in the Appalachian Mountains — a place that feels, she says, like the hands of God reaching up through the horizon — hiking trails that wind through breathtaking silence, raising a son she's convinced will change the world, and being thoroughly sat on by a 190-pound dog with small-dog delusions.

Her current work in progress is a full high fantasy epic already surpassing 400,000 words.

The worlds she builds don't end when you close the book. Just ask the readers who have one tattooed on their arm.
